"Things have always happened in the music industry as well," Jones said on BBC Radio 5 Live.
"There's been people complaining about publicists and different things they've been expected to do to get a record contract, just like a film contract."
Jones went on to say it was something he'd had experience of in his own career.
"There were a few things like that," he said. "But you avoid it. You just walk out... But what's tried on women is tried on men as well.
"It wasn't bad, just somebody tried to pull... it was a question and I said 'No thank you'."
Jones told the interviewer that while there are good people, there are also people with power who abuse it.
"Things happen in showbusiness, and sometimes things are covered up and then they come to light and other people come forward," he said.
"It's like taking the cork off of a bottle."
