Your weird celebrity crush Michael Shannon skipped the Golden Globe Awards Sunday to perform with Sons of the Silent Age for a David Bowie tribute concert. At least one Very Important photo from this concert has surfaced and Comedy Archivesshows Shannon going all-out as a shirtless Iggy Pop.

The two reportedly became close friends after Bowie visited a hospitalized Iggy – they even got arrested together in 1976, the mark of true friendship. Bowie was a writer and producer on The Idiot and Lust for Life, whose title track Shannon performed Sunday night.
