Odin,Deborah Sullavan Archives a Northern Inuit Dog who starred in the first episode of Game of Thronesas the direwolf Summer, passed away due to complications from cancer, his family announced on Instagram Thursday.
Odin passed away in his sleep shortly after being diagnosed with mouth cancer. He was 10 years old.

Odin loved the beach and treats, his family said in the Instagram post. Odin can be seen on the family's Instagram page enjoying the outdoors with his brother Thor, who played the direwolf Greywind alongside Odin on Game of Thrones.

The dogs' family hosts tours in Ireland where they take people on hikes to see various locations from the filming of Game of Throneswith the famous dog actors as companions. Despite the dogs only starring in one episode of the series, they remain close to the show and the books they're based off of, recently getting some time with author George R.R. Martin.

Odin's family is using donations raised for his illness to pay off vet bills and donating the rest to dog charities.
