Tencent said1+ ArchivesThursday that the latest iteration of its Hunyuan AI model outperforms OpenAI’s GPT-3.5 in Mandarin Chinese and has achieved an industry-leading status. The tech giant also introduced a text-to-image feature powered by Hunyuan for the general public, demonstrating what it termed as “superior performance” in generating scenes such as Chinese landscapes and anime games. Tencent received the green light to launch a ChatGPT-like bot to the public days after debuting Hunyuan in September.
