The Apple Watch Series 9 is officially up for preorder. The newest addition to the Apple Watch family is getting a slew of new upgrades, including a rosy pink colorway and some interesting new features. It may have just gone up for grabs today at multiple retailers, but that doesn't mean you can't save a bit of cash on this brand-new smartwatch with the first discount we've seen since its big reveal.
As of September 15, the Apple Watch Series 9 (41mm, GPS) is $10 off at Amazon. That makes it $389.99, which is a tad cheaper than its retail price of $399.99. Currently, this price only applies to the Midnight Aluminum Case with Midnight Sport Loop, but if that isn't a color you're into, there are always replacement watch bands and Apple Watch cases to cover it up. The important part here is that you're saving a little money on the newest Apple Watch that was only just revealed this week.
SEE ALSO: Apple Watch Series 9 and Ultra 2 hands-on: Double Tap is the coolest new featureThis may be one of the earliest incidences of a sale price while the Apple Watch is still up for preorder that we've seen. Note that while you can buy yours today, the Series 9 isn't slated to arrive until September 22.
Not sure if you're ready to move on from the Series 8? There are a couple of big, fun reasons to change. The Series 9 has an interesting new one-handed gesture called "double tap" that might change your mind. Just tap your index finger and thumb together twice to answer or end calls, start timers, launch apps, and more. In addition, Siri is now processed on your device, so she'll respond faster now without having to call out to the cloud for the answers you're seeking.
Either way, this is a great time to grab the Series 9 and be one of the first ones to try out all the new features, plus save a little lunch money.
