It's officially Apple event season,Science Fiction Archives folks! Just a couple of months after CEO Tim Cook took to a stage to tell us about the company's beefed up streaming plans, the company's Worldwide Developer Conference will surely feature a number of more traditional Apple announcements.
The keynote address to kick off WWDC 2019 is on Monday, June 3 at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET. As always, you can watch it live on Apple's special events website.
The 2019 edition of WWDC lasts through June 7, but the bulk of the news will come from the keynote address on the first day of the conference. Apple's March event largely focused on the company's growing services business, while its annual September event is where we'll hear about this year's new run of iPhones.
As such, expect WWDC to be largely software-focused. A report earlier this year confirmed this, as Apple is expected to show off iOS 13 and Watch OS 6, at the very least. Along with a possible swipe-based keyboard and other bells and whistles, iOS 13 is said to feature a Dark Mode for iPhones.
Most expect Watch OS to finally get its own App Store, among other things. Watch out for some upgrades to macOS, as well, which will be nice for Apple's brand new Macbook Pros.
