The man in question intercepted Hadid's attempt to get into her car during Milan Fashion Week by grabbing her and picking her up. Hadid responded by elbowing him in the face in the interest of her personal safety, which apparently was not very ladylike of her.

Her sister, Bella, yelled, "Let go of her!" which, according to some, may have also been a little too forward.

The attacker shouted back, "Who the fuck are you, you piece of shit!" as he ran away following intervention from security. The man in question is reportedly "prankster" Vitalii Sediuk. Cool prank!

Hadid called out the reports that framed the incident as anything but self defense and reminded everyone that she's badass.
