Game of Thrones Season 7 doesn't come out 'til July 16,Alyce Mahon, Eroticism & Art but there's good news for fans who want to get a bit more ~interactive~ with their GoT experience.
A new Game of Thrones themed pop-up bar in Washington, D.C., which opened June 21, has turned the nation's capital into King's Landing. The Game of Thrones Pub was put together by Drink Company, which recently threw together a Super Mario Bros. themed bar as well.

According to the bar's website, there's a Hall of Faces, replicas of Daenarys' dragons, and an armory where all the house banners are boldly displayed. And of course, there's an Iron Throne where you can sit and pretend to rule Westeros with an iron fist.

I had a chance to preview @drinkcompany's new Game of Thrones pop up bar, which opened tonight. The short version: it was pretty awesome. 🍹 So yeah, it's pretty corny kitsch. But it's so over-the-top corny that it goes all the way around to awesome again. There's a House of Black and White, an Iron Throne, and a weirwood tree. There's a fire breathing dragon. There are drinking horns. It's basically a RenFaire with top notch cocktails and that's pretty great. 🍹 And the cocktails. This menu features some rich, intense, layered flavors. There's The North Remembers, with Scotch and Sherry and pineapple and gomme; it's rich and dark and thick, and it's served in those drinking horns. I had two. And then there's The Lady Mormont, with gin and passion fruit and honey, served in a glass bear. (Because House Mormont is from Bear Island. You knew that, right? Of course you did, nerds.) 🍹 Oh, and @cottonandreed supplied the rum for the Dothraquiri. Which is awesome.
There's also plenty of GoT-inspired drinks to match the mood:
Some cocktails evoke a setting, such as The North Remembers. The scotch based drink is served in a horn tankard, and can easily be pictured in the hands of any Stark. The Dothraquiri, a daiquiri variation named for the Dothraki warriors, features local rum Cotton & Reed, creme de cacao, and banana liqueur.

The pop-up bar will be open through Aug. 7, which is hopefully just long enough to cure all those Season 7 woes while the series is in full-swing.
