Bethesda talked up some of its biggest --974 Archivesin some cases, newest -- franchises at its E3 2019 press conference on Sunday, touching on Fallout, Elder Scrolls, and Doom.
Here's some of the biggest news to come out of Bethesda's evening of trailers and announcements all in one place.
Surprise! The Elder Scrolls: Bladesis out on mobile devices on Sunday night, for free. Not only that, Bethesda announced that Bladesis coming to the Nintendo Switch in fall 2019.
Fallout 76is getting its first major expansion and this, just like Blades, is also free. It adds new content and human NPCs for the first time since the game launched. Not only that, there is a free Nuclear Winter update coming to Fallout 76which adds a battle royale mode to the game. Because of course.
From the creator of The Evil Withinand Resident Evil 4, Shinji Mikami and co. are back with a new horror game, and this one seems like even more of a wild ride than The Evil Within. With Ikumi Nakamura as creative director for GhostWire: Tokyo, there's a lot of weird imagery in this trailer, including a rapture-like event, some reality-bending events, and some spooky looking characters.
Commander Keenis returning after 18 years, bringing back the classic '90s side-scrolling action into the new era with a reboot for mobile phones. Commander Keenis coming this summer.
Deathloop, from the studio Arkane Lyon, is a sort of spiritual predecessor to Dishonored, and boy does it look cool. It features two assassins who appear to be stuck in a murder/death loop (hence the name) where one wants to protect the cycle and the other wants to end the cycle.
Doom Eternalis coming Nov. 22 and the latest trailer shows of some very cool looks at hell, heaven, and tons of gory attacks and kills. After the tantalizing story trailer, Bethesda gave us a look at some mesmerizing, bloody gameplay, and then our first look at Doom Eternal's big new addition: Battlemode, where you get to play as either Doom Guy or demons in a multiplayer deathmatch.
